Function of the Detector The Natural Gas Argon Blending Detector is primarily used to measure the argon content in natural gas, ensuring its purity and safety. In locations such as LNG refueling stations, due to the unique properties of argon (e.g., inertness, potential asphyxiation risk at high concentrations), detecting argon is particularly important.
Principle of the Detector The detection principle of the argon detector is mainly based on the thermal conductivity effect. When gas flows, collisions between gas molecules result in heat transfer, thereby increasing the gas temperature. Utilizing the sensitivity of a thermocouple, argon concentration can be detected. When argon enters the detector, it collides with the thermocouple, altering its temperature. The concentration of argon is determined by measuring the temperature change of the thermocouple.
